US singer, producer & multi-instrumentalist Quincy Mumford has been a bit quiet in the past couple of years - since his single "Major Love" in 2022. But last month, he brought a new EP Welcome to the Lab.
The 4-piece project was created during the Pandemic. He explains, "From personal romantic triumphs to tragic frustration, I zoomed out of my studio bubble to find the stories that inspire me." The EP shows his signature groovy, smooth & tastefully experimental approach to music.
The closing tune "FOCUS", featuring Grammy-nominated producer David Alastre, carries mesmerizing drums, playful keys, and honey vocals. “It is about those who think they deserve the world but don’t want to put in the work. Blind to the effects of their actions and only thinking about themselves. If you burn the bridge, you are going to have to swim,” he shares.
