“IKYWTL” is the type of track that I’d imagine listening to in a natural setting, like an open field or by the sea right before dawn. Found on the album aptly named Before Dawn by Quiet Blue, it carries a spatial and transcendent feeling.
The piece leads in with gentle vocals on top of soft keys, percussive elements and rhythmic snaps before it progresses into a layered and mesmerising electronic sound.
Behind the music is Nic Georgiou, who is a singer from Melbourne and under the alias Quiet Blue creates an atmospheric and emotive sound somewhere between folk, ambient and electronica.
