The first days and weeks of any new year are always pretty mellow for me. I usually feel the need to recharge after the holidays' craze and tend to lock myself at home for the most part of January. Plus, a good way to actually make it through dry January.
I wanted to share with you a lofi / chillhop beat that has been accompanying me these last few nights - Purrple Cat's subtle beauty "Alone Time". The track is taken off Chilled Cow's first compilation release 1 AM which features a number of prolific producers like Aso, j'san, Kupla and Psalm Trees (to name a few).
Now, let's focus on the works for the Portland-based producer. Honestly, if right now I need to choose one composition to showcase the world of instrumental and chillhop music, that would be "Alone Time". There's something about it that makes me feel weirdly warm, loved and smiley.
