I am big Purity Ring fan but I admit that I had slept on their second album until I was about to see them live. Few days before the concert I listened to Another Eternity in order to get the maximum out of the gig. It's true I've seen bands which number of songs I know equals to one or two in total but I wanted to do better than this.
I think of their second album to be less experimental with more pop elements that makes it easier to digest by a larger crowd. When I think of it I spent few months listening to Shrines something that I was sure it wouldn't happen with Another Eternity. So with this frame of mind I made my way to the concert. I was pleasantly surprised by the songs they played - it was a fair mix between the first and second album. That and the fact that Purity Ring are absolutely incredible live!
p.s. it's been three weeks since I went to that concert and I am happily playing Another Eternity on repeat. If you get the chance you must see them live!
