Groovy music is one of the easiest ways to get me in the mood to do anything. From hours of work to just boogie dancing around the city, future funk sounds are definitely the way to go.
For all those reasons and a tons more, today's discovery - Atlanta-based producer & drummer Pure Colors simply made my day. I'm seeing Tycho later today, so imagine - the bar was pretty high.
This is my first stumble upon the producer, but damn his song "Need Ya' Now" just blew me away. Brass section, proper bassy beats and a nice touch of real drums. So, I guess on could tell Joey knows what he's doing. That ride cymbal is spot-on.
