Woah, this next one!
Hailing from Australia's Gold Coast, San Mei's music is both soothing and raw-ishly empowering. And yes, this might sound confusing, but just hit the play button on "Necessary" and enter her guitar driven world where the only thing that matters is her voice.
It took me a while to figure out how to describe the track. There's just too much awesomeness going on in just over 3 minutes. Emily - the person behind San Mei's moniker managed to create undoubtedly one of the most captivating soundspaces I've heard in a while. There's a lushful scent of danger floating around the track. It's like Warpaint meets Wolf Alice with a pinch of new wave-ish mystery.
The track is taken off her Necessary EP (scheduled for July 14th), so this is definitely not the last you'll be hearing about San Mei. Enjoy!
