Following an extremely well-received debut in 2016, Berlin-based artist Hush Moss will return this summer with what I expect to be everyone's nostalgia-infused soundtrack for the upcoming months.
7 years after the debut of It Takes A Lot, the singer/songwriter reunites with the Average Negative label family to present the next phase of their artistic journey. Introducing "If The Day," the second single from their highly anticipated sophomore album, we are privileged to present the exclusive premiere of this captivating and emotionally resonant musical masterpiece.
The song is introspective, laid back, and spacious - elements set the tone for the rest of the album we're about to experience later this summer. Reflecting on the album, Hush Moss shares, "I wanted to create a body of work that was honest and vulnerable, but also uplifting and empowering. I hope that these songs can provide comfort and inspiration to anyone who needs it."
The sound of Hush Moss has always carried a beautiful 60s and 70s nostalgia, but it's important to note - Eden (creator and driving force behind Hush Moss) has always strived to pay homage to the past but create something new. Listening to "If The Day" begs the question - how has the time in Berlin and the fairly long period since It Takes A Lot impacted him creatively? Personally, I'm getting a feeling of warm content and appreciation of the here and now listening to this.
"If The Day" is officially out tomorrow, May 31st on all streaming platforms, but you can already pre-save it here.
