It seems like just a few weeks ago we hosted Ageless on our minimix series to celebrate the third birthday of the Philos Records record label back in March. In that mix, we were given a taste of how Philos throws down, but today, we’re all about that Ageless sound. Due for a full release on August 24th with his EP entitled Perfect World, Ageless gives us a preview into the funked up sounds to come with the single “Liberty”.
Packing in a creative pallet of vocal and instrumental samples, “Liberty” delivers an anticipatory intro, kicking into a sweeping electro funk beat complemented with excitatory brass samples. As I gave this tune a listen, I couldn’t help but get that “on a mission in the big city” feeling. You know the feeling I am talking about, right?
