Last year's "Baby Got Work" by Potatohead People & De La Soul was certainly one of the freshest piece - esp given the pandemic year it was.
Well, DJ Jazzy Jeff & Kaidi Tatham made this even groovier with their classic hip hop touch. The funky cuts, synth bass & warm Rhodes, and the head-knocking drum break perfectly complement Posdnuous's flow about "getting your head down, putting your boots on and getting to work - helping to make the world a better place for all of us". Canadian singer Kapok delivers a story about the shortness of our lives, and the potential in all of us to get the work done that we need to do. It's an allusion to the desperate times we're live in, with a hopeful call to action for all of us to roll up our sleeves and get down to the business of change.
