As a follow-up to my Ekcle feature from a few minutes ago, I thought that some Polynation rhythms might add some extra flair into our feed. "Lory" from their 2019 debut full-length Igneous release (via Atomnation) is nothing short of exhilarating. The whole album is a masterpiece when it comes to the so-called organic electronica (a term I keep seeing lately).
The track, just like their work as a whole, sounds very organic with a heavy focus on the intense, yet complementary drumming that the music is built on. Stijn Hosman and Hessel Stuut - the guys behind Polynation are masters when it comes slowly building up an idea and while "Lory" is just 3 minutes and 36 seconds - a length that's fairly short for a track from that genre, they manage to pack a whole set of emotions within.
