Oh, how I've missed Poldoore.
The Belgian producer knows his way with groovy music and his new "Alfama" carries sweet summer vibes with a pinch of nostalgia.
Named after an old musical district in Lisbon, the track blends a Fado-inspired chopped-up guitar loop with dynamic chops that play in contrast with a rather lazy, mellow drum groove.
"A song about the will to explore a new place, while being slowed down by the sweltering heat" is what he says about it and I know we can all relate.
"Alfama" is part of his upcoming Wayfare EP, out 14 Aug via Future Archive Recordings.
