Let's take a ride from California to London to meet with the two masterminds behind a beautiful jazz-infused gem!
Paul Grant and Benjamin Totten (coming from the cities in the title respectively) have joined forces for an instrumental track called "California to London", which delivers a stunning representation of both artists' styles. With intricate guitar-playing and soulful tones throughout, the track feels like a calm breath of fresh air at the end of a busy day. Paul elaborates a bit more:
“This track started off as just some piano and drums, but then naturally grew into a much more guitar-based track. It features the awesome guitarist Benjamin Totten, who I first heard when he was playing at a Jorja Smith show here in California in 2018. Later, we connected through Instagram, and recorded this track remotely during the 2020 quarantine. Benjamin came up with the title idea as well, referencing both places we live.”
