Now this is a pleasant surprise! We know Parra for Cuva for his laid-back organic sound, although on his new track "Tratado", he takes inspiration from drum & bass and delivers an energetic experience.
Before the release of his 2021 album Juno, we had an interview with the German producer where he details his creative process. No one could've expected the shift into this lane, and what I find remarkable is how he's kept that familiar Parra for Cuva essence throughout the melodic portion of the track. These punchy, fast-paced drums are adorned with ethnic instrumentation and eerie vocal samples which make for quite a fascinating listening experience. This track was released through ODESZA's Foreign Family, and hopefully, we see more of this from Parra for Cuva on the label.
