"Pop Century" is not only the first proper collab between Paklite and SUN/MGNETK, but this release also marks their first single as part of their joint project SUN/LITE Vol. 1.
In 2022 SUN/MGNETK remixed Paklite's release "Visions" and from then on, there was a notable similarity between the two artists despite their genre differences. "Pop Century" explores these similarities and here we get a taste of Paklite's soulful chillhop aesthetic combined with SUN/MGNETK's fascinating brand of r&b-infused lofi house. Airy vocals compliment the warm textures while the rhythm section carries a groovy bounce throughout. The light guitar arrangements from Paklite serve as ear candy to the listener and keep the progression interesting. SUN/LITE Vol. 1 comes out August 16th via Stereofox, I hope you're ready for this stellar mashup!
