Omar Apollo's latest r&b album, Ivory (Marfil), is a collection of songs that put you at ease and fills you with joy.
The 24-years-old Latin Grammy-nominated artists blends funk, pop, hip hop and r&b and has gained recognition from the likes of Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and The FADER.
My pick for the day - “Endlessly”, is incredible on every level, not only because of the musicianship, but the fact that Omar is responsible for its composition, production, and of course - the performance. His fans went absolutely crazy over the "Endlessly Interlude" teaser which he dropped back in April. We’re all happy that he decided to finally release the full version of the song, which is just about the best thing that could have happened.
Even though he self-describes as “just a kid from Indiana”, he will surely turn some heads in the future.
