The sonic style of OLAN sits on a multi-dimensional plane by virtue of the wide range of genres she explores, and her latest release "If You Need Me" serves as a wonderful example.
OLAN is an alternative R&B and electronic project created by songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Luzana Flores. Her soulful essence in "If You Need Me" shines through her heartfelt vocals that have been processed to sound somewhat eerie. The contrast is that the production is quite lively, especially thanks to the beefy drums and the glossy synths serve as one of the core pillars of the track.
"After my bus tour with ODESZA, I dove into writing music for a second album. 'If You Need Me' is the second single, and I wrote the lyrics around feeling unafraid to share and receive affection from someone you care about. Both play a huge part in keeping me grounded when I need it most," says OLAN.
