I'm so glad this didn't slip my radar! O'Flynn is back with a new album titled Shimmer and this time... He's joined by Frazer Ray throughout the project.
Shimmer is heavily influenced by Garage, and I mean the kind that's moody yet simultaneously club-friendly. "Troopa" is a great example of what I'm talking about as this feels quite introspective thanks to the immersive synths that are draped over the hard-hitting drums. What also makes the track fascinating is how O'Flynn and Frazer Ray include an array of manipulated vocal samples to keep the progression fresh and provide catchy moments.
