One of my favourite MC & producer Oddisee is back with a new single and the announcement of his upcoming album The Iceberg (scheduled for Feb 24th via Mello Music Group). His previous release The Good Fight (2015) was an absolute must-hear whether you care about hip hop or not. It was just exceptionally good music!
Today's highlight - "Things" is one of the most powerful tracks I've heard in a long time. The instrumental has a really dope groove to it, I wouldn't necessarily really use the word disco here, this track will move your body. Also, the lyric part - the dude is absolute destruction when it comes to text writing. Very personal and charging!
I like a quote off Mellow Music's description which I think perfectly explains what The Iceberg will be about - "a plea for humanity to dig deeper in search of understanding and common ground".
