The dream duo is back!
Been waiting for a new NxWorries for years now, but it's understandable it took some time to hear about their return. Since Yes Lawd! in 2016, .Paak has put out a few records (Oxnard and Ventura) and formed Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars. Meanwhile, Knxwledge has been working on his own stuff and produced for artists like Earl Sweatshirt, Action Bronson, and Westside Gunn. Busy times.
Back in 2020, during his Zane Lowe interview, .Paak revealed that they are back and working on a follow-up to Yes Lawd!, so you can imagine how excited people must be about today’s news.
Anyhow. As if .Paak and Knxwledge returning to the stage is not enough, they bring H.E.R. along! Get ready for 4 minutes and 16 seconds of pure bliss. The new single, "Where I Go" carries their signature vibe, but just like the accompanying music video, it definitely pays homage to 90s soul and r&b music.
You gotta love video's end credits to the video. .Paak in the rain, the late 80s synthwave... ending couldn't be any better.
NxWorries (pronounced as no worries) are part of the legendary Stones Throw Records and their debut Yes Lawd! (2016) is one of my favourite vinyls.
