I honestly can’t think of a better way to close Dad’s Old Tapes, the latest EP offering from the mysterious English trio North Downs, than with the track “Silent Moon”.
The lush and dirty electronic sounds, blended with delicate synths, found on this track, deliver the full North Downs experience.
The powerful opening bass line keeps being a solid foundation throughout the whole track while the delicate vocals keep your attention glued to the music, due to the interesting reversed vocal chops and samples, implemented between the main vocal line.
Best consumed late at night for the ultimate melancholic, wistful and chill vibe. It’s called “Silent Moon” after all…
