Noé Solange is one of the most haunting voices of our generation and her work is something that has always pierced my mind and reached those lonesome corners of it.

I can't think of a more fitting artist to reimagine her music than Henry Green, and his atmospheric remix of "Rise" is proof enough to support my claim. This is also my favourite (and the title) track of her latest EP, which I consider a modern masterpiece in downtempo music. The song blends hypnotic synths, dreamy textures, and yangqin strings, propelled by melodic bass and drums. Noé’s ethereal vocals and reflective lyrics, “as she waited for the sun to rise,” float over a warmer soundscape, capturing the serene essence of a sunset.

Speaking on the remix, Henry shares, "I love the subtleties in her production, the organic sound choices and her use of space. Diving into the stems, it became clear that we approach our production in a similar way and this made remixing the song all the more natural and enjoyable. I decided to focus on resampling her original layers, building a world with those repurposed textures for my new elements to sit with. I knew I wanted to bring pace and depth with the remix, but was cautious not to overwhelm those delicate ambient elements and ensure I left space for her vocal to breathe."
