"floating island" is one of my favourite beats on Ningen's new LP lost on my adventure, which happens to be out via our own label. Brian sent me the album last year and I was immediately drawn by the rich and organic sound patterns used within. That, and his bravery to explore new horizons like singing (in album's title track).
Speaking of richness, the complexity and build-up in "floating island" is simply put impeccable. A powerful indie and lofi clash, the beat offers different things depending how you approach it. Initially i found it quite mellow and saddening, but actually it ended up feeling empowering and hopefully.
Most favourite part? The slowed down ending and all the tiny sounds in it.
