Creek, the long-awaited EP by nimino, finally arrived last week, and it not only features the hit "I Only Drink When I Smoke", but it also features an incredible performance from SAMSON on "The 6".
The Australian producer featured on our electronic artists you need to watch in 2025 article towards the start of the year, and this project further showcases why. What I loved about the closing track "The 6" was the moody, atmospheric pad floating in the mix paired with SAMSON's verses. His lyrics fluctuate between deep and braggadocio in a manner that's raw and edgy, seamlessly pulling us into his storytelling. The drums are also a feature that stands out as nimino embraces a UK garage influence, layering crisp, skippy percussion that adds an infectious groove to the track.
