You didn't think I'm gonna leave you without something funky this Friday, did you? On the opposite, I'm 'bout to share with you a gorgeous jazz-funk concoction with Brazilian flavour (my favourite).
It's getting warmer and that's just so inviting for jams like this one! A brilliant collaboration between France-via-Brussels duo Nikitch & Kuna Maze and Brazilian-born Lyon-based singer-songwriter Joao Selva.
The track is a play on the Brazilian expression ‘pra saber andar tem que engatinhar’ which translates to ‘you need to know how to crawl before you walk’ . It merges Joao Selva's bright-boogie vocals with Nikitch & Kuna Maze’s sonic intersection of jazz and electronic music, to offer a stunning dance-friendly mood-booster.
“Engatinhar” happens to be the duo’s debut vocal track, while also the latest taster taken from Nikitch & Kuna Maze’s cross-borders album Back & Forth, so stay tuned.
