If you, like us, are riding the jazz wave this week (or lately), you'll love this one.
Nick Marks, the up-and-coming jazz producer & composer from New York, returns with a new single - "Alpha Bete". His new installment is an out-of-this-world blend of jazz, jazztronica, beats, and cinematic music. It is together with a bunch of talents - Doron Lev, Dave Levy, Andrew Gould, Chase Baird, Jimmy O'Connell, Bob Lanzetti, Sarpay Ozcagatay, and Budapest Art Orchestra who bring this composition to its fullest potential.
This unorthodox and brave fusion stems from Nick's experience in film scoring, combined with his love for the NYC underground scene & genres like hip-hop, soul & even electronic music. And most importantly, his reluctance to stay within genre limitations & borders.
"Alpha Bete" is the 1st single from Cinematic Chromatics Vol. III, the last part of his EP trilogy which explores a range of influences, moods & genres (check my review of Vol. II). We can't wait to hear what else Nick Marks has to offer us.
