I have to say - when Andy shared Mt. Joy's "Astrovan" last week he sparkled my lost forgotten love for indie/folk music. I ended up browsing their music and scouting for new bands as I would like to feature such music more often. It's light, energizing and super chilled. Basically the indie equivalent of chillhop music. Kinda.
Anyway, the US five piece have a few more must-hear tracks to offer. "Sheep" is their second single and it will bring a smile on your face, early on a Monday morning. Also, it will make you wanna travel, which might make you sad if you're traveling to your office desk.
The guys have released 3 tracks so far (our 3rd feature is coming up soon) and everything so far sounds beyond promising. Influenced by classics like Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, The Grateful Dead, The Beatles and some contemporary acts like Alabama Shakes, these 5 dudes are definitely bringing some fresh air on the scene.
Enjoy your Monday!
