I was exchanging some e-mails with Gueorgui Linev or as you may know him from our previous features - Kan Wakan. The young Bulgarian artist shared with me news which got me super exited - Mose Sumney was about to release a new track off his upcoming Lamentations EP and he was one of the producers of that track.
That's not the only awesome news though. The track features some of my favourite musicians - Thundercat on bass, Ian Chang on drums, Tosin Abasi (from Animals As Leaders) and Joshua Willing Halpern on guitar. Seriously if that's not a stellar line-up, I don't know what is.
The track itself. Fuck. Seriously, such a captivating piece of music. Absolutely haunting, soul-touching and... NOT ordinary. It feels really personal and it's just one of the many reasons to be excited about Sumney's Lamentations EP (out tomorrow - September 30th).
