The craftsmanship when it comes to the songwriting on "heartbeat 8" is something I gravitated towards extremely - it's just the way Moonga K. makes it seem so effortless to vividly describe his emotions in a manner which reads like a story.
There's something about Moonga's voice that's reminiscent of early 2000's soul, I'm talking about artists such as Bilal but with much more of a modern touch. And that also permeates from his choice of instrumentals as we're greeted with lush electronic textures over this soothing guitar which plays throughout the track. "heartbeat 8" is perfect for romantically serene moments like pillow talk, and it caters for a slow jam by virtue of the riveting upbeat transition towards the closing moments.
