It's Friday and it's time to eat your Miso Extra sound soup!
"Deep Fried" is Japanese/ English artist's 3rd single and the pattern becomes clear - she's onto something.
Her debut single "Adventures of Tricky n Duke"which premiered on a few major publications and got a lot of well-deserved coverage. On the radio front, she has champions in Radio 1 (Jack Saunders, Huw Stephens, Sian Eleri & Arlo Parks when she did her takeover), 1Xtra (Jamz Supernova), 6 Music (Tom Ravenscroft, Amy Lamé) and Beats 1 (Matt Wilkinson and Zane Lowe). Same applies for "1013", which was my obsession for weeks in a row. Thankfully, Miso isn't stopping, so I get to switch gears to "Deep Fried" which is by far the grooviest joint.
The London-based singer, rapper and producer calls her inner space the Misoverse - a melting pot of cultural and generational substance, and I absolutely love it.
While I've been scouting music's best gems for 8 years now, the art of Miso Extra feels like nothing seen before. I love her journey and how captivating the sonic Misoverse is. Now it's time to glue myself to the repeat button and enjoy the rest of the Friday.
