How much is too much?
Depending on what you're thinking about - sugar, alcohol, social media, or even a relationship - everyone's perspective can differ so much. Exploring the boundaries of consuming something (coffee in her case), or even broader - the confines of oneself, Miranda Joan delivers the warm & groovy double single Too Much, playing on both the bright/dark and sweet/salty side. Beginning with the short & delicate ode to "Coffee", the title/focus track is her "attempt at putting an image to that with this music is with the symbol of coffee and caffeine; there is a limit to the sensation and once you’ve passed it, it quickly turns into too much.”
She adds, “I’ve learned my limits through trial and error, by either edging past them or completely blowing them out and then needing to course correct, reassess, and reel it in." The Canadian-born, Brooklyn-based songstress brought her honey vocals on top of the extraordinary production of CARRTOONS & the basslines of Ben Williams for an utterly captivating tune.
"Too Much" also comes with an awesome visualizer, showing Miranda in the hectic New York, on which she says: "The city vibrates in every borough; a machine that doesn’t stop. There is something about the shameless ‘get in or get out’ energy that has both burnt me out and fed my soul.”
I highly recommend checking her previous singles, especially "I Love You, Dwayne".
