Last week Chicago rapper dropped his album The Healing Component and today I'm featuring which should have been shared a long time ago. The darkness of "Drowning" is obvious from the first few chords of the song. Inspired by the Black Lives Matter events in the past couple of months, this is probably one of the most powerful artist messages I have stumbled upon.
The song was produced by one of my favourite Canadian bands right now - BADBADNOTGOOD who had left their signature sound all over "Drowning".
The track comes with a very captivating video which perfectly fits the lyrics and the message behind the sound. Highly recommending watching it!
ps. it somehow reminded me of Ghostpoet, what do you guys think?
