"Won’t Get Far" is the first single off Mensing’s upcoming EP Tessellate. Mensing and Loux definitely got that synergy, as Loux states in the chorus of the track. The two of them already worked together on the Seasons project with Tee Peters, and obviously vibed very well with one another.
The track’s boom-bap rhythm, combined with some chilled soaring keys and sweet vocals is a great premise for the North London MC Loux to unveil his skills. His fresh and honest bars refer to the process of reaching the top and how the good and meaningful things take time, but it’s worth it when you perceive something as your mission and you do it from your soul.
Overall a chilled and uplifting track, suitable for both day and night light.
