I have said this numerous times but I love that genres intertwine so much these days.

Here comes a delightful example of how indie folk/rock, soul & blues can co-exist in one majestic creation. Canadian duo mei anima's new single "Highway" (out via our friends at DOLO) is a bright tune falling somewhere between Khruangbin, Tom Misch & Michael Kiwanuka.

Written during their move to Toronto, the song explores topics like the start of a new life & (hopefully) a bright future, all from a lover's perspective. It reflects the emotions connected with relocating & the band's journey as a whole.

The psychedelic & warm guitars, together with heartfelt vocals & a rhythm that sticks like glue, make a wonderful soundtrack for a road trip, don't you think?
