MAVAREL's "Now" leads us down a path that urges us to either become introspective or slow down and become immersed in the present moment.
Martial aka MAVAREL is a Switzerland-based musician and producer who draws inspiration from the likes of Lorn, ARCA, Lapalux, and Bonobo. This list of influences doesn't come as a surprise as "Now" walks the thin line between IDM and downtempo. What grabbed my attention here is the luminous soundscape we're invited to alongside the emotive progression MAVAREL has laid out. The glazed yet eerie pianos lurking in the shadows of the background certainly heighten that introspective feel I like about "Now".
