I have been off my musical game. For over a year now I thought a beloved duet of mine had ended their journey. But the electronic duo has popped back up, flying under my radar for the past few months. After what seems like eons, they released "Death" a few weeks ago and "Pirouette" just yesterday. But I still can't let go of the old favorites that introduced me to the band with the most difficult name ever, so be sure to check out "All the Places," as well.
Kelsey Bulkin's enchanting vocal performance dances over layers of twinkling bells and synths in their newest lyrical daydream (Pour my tea, pour my thoughts into separate beds, spilling out into clouds, whirling like a pirouette). It's a song for starry skies, falling snowflakes, imagination, and just letting your mind go.
Whatever you do, don’t count "The Heights" out as I did. As their website says, "[They're] not finished."
