Apparently I have been living under the rock , as I am just discovering Loyle Carner, even though the guys here on Stereofox have covered plenty of his material and collaborations. My bad.
I guess I won't be going into too much about who the guy is and will jump straight to the smoothness of "Ain't Nothing Changed". The combination of rap and jazz must be one my favourite ones in hip-hop. It gives such a different flow to the song, especially when it's done with such mastery as here. Jazz and soul samples, moody beats and deep heartfelt lyrics seem to be the success recipe of Loyle Carner. In general, the track has a bit of the old-school feel to it as well. The video is quite brilliant as well.
