A taste blend of future garage, breakbeat, and emotional electronica, Lowtopic's latest single "Roma" feels like the soundtrack of a walk after a perfect night at the club. I have to admit, it's been a while for me, but I do fondly remember the summer Berlin walks and the sunrise experience after a great night out.
"Roma" marks the third feature we've done of the Italian producer and DJ. I appreciate the emotion engraved in everything he creates, probably the most important thing when choosing what music I listen to and write about.
The song originated from a simple three-chord piano progression Lowtopic played at night after his kids went to be. A serendipitous collaboration with actress Matilda De Angelis, who sent vocal recordings, led to a seamless fusion of melody and sample.
With a minimalist, swing-infused breakbeat, the track took shape, marking the beginning of a new creative direction for Francesco. I think should be expecting an EP and it probably will be Lowtopic's best work to this day. If you dig breakbeat, downtempo, and rich sampling, then stay tuned for more.
