If you feel like running away from the work week, here's a beautiful way out.
Lou Berry is back at the fox feed after the light "Dreamers", this time joined by Eylia. "Runaway" brings jazzy piano, groovy synths & drums and playful vocals. Lou elaborates on the meaning & the sonic influence:
"Runaway" is an ego-trip satire. It talks about how ego can ruin a relationship. I think I play the good role here while Eylia plays complete off-handedness. Maybe I took that perspective to embody people that I’ve might hurt in the past. The track has a kind of funk-revival spirit that I especially like. It makes me visualize car neons in a 70’s Los Angeles street at night
The track is taken from his LP Inner World.
