Logic1000's debut album Mother showcases the growth of her signature minimal yet vibrant electronica style, with "Self To Blame," featuring Kayla Blackmon, standing out as a true highlights of the project.
Two years ago we published an article exploring female producers redefining electronic music's future. Logic1000 was not just part of our selection; in a short time, she has firmly established herself as an icon in the electronic music scene. Her critically acclaimed album Mother is woven together by pleasantly eerie atmospheres decked over house and breakbeat-inspired rhythm sections. One of the more soulful tracks is the pop-influenced gem "Self To Blame" which is brought to life by a charming vocal performance.
Kayla Blackmon floats over a groovy bass line and airy textures on this release, creating a dreamy vibe that's simultaneously dance-friendly. I really loved how Logic1000 also blurs the line between lofi house and electronica on this one, creating a sound that feels both intimate and dynamic.
