When I saw this, I immediately had to pick up my jaw from the floor by virtue of the stellar artists involved in this track.
Local Natives is an Indie band with a colorful sound that has continuously fascinated me for years, and Karriem Riggins is best known as a jazz drummer and hip-hop producer for artists like Common, Slum Village, Talib Kweli, and The Roots.
Riggins has transformed Local Native's somewhat airy (and eerie) interlude into a lofi masterpiece packed with the kind of swing that could potentially harm your neck from all the head bumping. I personally found the magic predominantly coming from his selection of drums and the overall progression as one could keep hitting repeat, and you'll still feel the impact received from the first listen.
