Something perfect for sunset cruising on a hazy Monday.
Welcoming back LA-based Lo Artiz with her new lush bi-lingual gem. Right on the verge of groove & melancholia, "get by" was created as a response to being rejected in a relationship and is the first taste of her Latin-American roots. Reminiscent of Kali Uchis meets SZA, the song carries Artiz's sensual nature, making it an affirmation for empaths who are seeking beauty in difficult times - "the same feeling as finding a rainbow amidst the pouring rain."
Lo adds, "During the time I wrote "get by", I was heartbroken - crying nearly every hour on the hour, but still handling it with a lot of grace. I wanted to provide a space for the listener to address their heartache & embrace it at the same time. With themes of betrayal, sensuality, & perseverance, I want my audience to know tears are okay & even heartache is okay. The only way out is through, & we have the choice to make heartbreak our teacher, or our captor. I choose to dance through the pain".
