As I am gearing up for our next Ambient Space playlist update, I tried submerge myself in the chillstep / ambient scene and catch up on what's new in that sound universe. Last few weeks have been filled with additional projects related to Stereofox, so my discovery time was cut down to minimal. Luckily, there are quite a few tracks .
One of the guys that I'm particularly excited about is Liam Thomas. The Australian producer who I featured back in December last year is at the forefront when it comes to blending bass-heavy sounds with aerial/ambient environment. One of his latest releases titled "Lost" is the absolute must-hear if you're feeling like the world is about to fall on you. I love when music feels beautiful and sad in the same time. It somehow reminds me of n u a g e s, but a bit more intense.
Honestly, while that's not one of my main genres, I am so happy we decided to create this playlist and move towards paying attention into these genres.
