Leyya, the Vienna duo whom we're used to hearing in their rather specific upbeat-meets-melancholic music style, take a surprising turn with their new double single.
"Someone" sees them in an indie-pop/folk light, still carrying their warmth and nostalgia but with a cinematic touch, thanks to the string quartet - and intimate storytelling. The lead singer shares:
I have this illness, this predisposition, but by now I can deal with it. I’ve come to terms with the fact that there will always be phases of feeling bad. But I know that I have friends, that I have people around me I can trust and rely on.
