Stroll

I consider Flume's Hi My Name Is Flume one of the best mixtapes I've heard in my life - with that being said it's no surprise why I heavily resonate with "Stroll" from Laxcity's latest mixtape 2018-2021 as the production leans towards experimentalism and is decked with an array of fx to keep the listener engaged.

"Stroll" is not chaotically experimental like many of the tracks we're acquainted with when it comes to the Vapor Twitch genre... Melodically it's neatly presented with one hell of a catchy arrangement that surprisingly shifts into a different key on the second drop. That fucking blew my mind along with Laxcity's use of percussion since it sounds like random recordings that have been morphed to guide the rhythm. For those who are fans of Against All Logic, I'm sure the cover art also looks strikingly familiar too.
