Putting together Lapalux's mellow beats and Szjerdene's silky voice is... yeah, just is pure and beautiful. Fueled by the concept of insomnia, "Closure" will send you to a slightly dark place where things move slowly and one can be truly alone with his thoughts.
The inability to sleep properly is a terrible, terrible curse and if it goes on for some time can be seriously damaging not only physically, but emotionally. It's really interesting to read a bit about Lapalux's upcoming album Lustmore and his thoughts on how it came about:
"Whenever I think about the album I think about the bar scene in The Shining. There’s something about that strange, hallucinatory psychological madness that relates to the music, both in the making of the actual record and the way it sounds."
The record will be out on April 7th via Flying Lotus' label BRAINFEEDER.
Now it's time to ditch life for a second and submerge into the beautiful sounds of these extremely talented artists.
