I've been aware of kryptogram ever since I discovered his UKG inspired single "Growing Apart", and recently I decided to dive into his 2021 LP krypt. vol2. "Pop It!" is among the gems I uncovered from the album, especially since I've been repeating the words "Pop It!" randomly throughout my day.

It's the idiosyncratic drums that initially grabbed my attention here. If you listen to the album you'll noticed that this track is probably one of the few that leans towards relaxing atmosphere. This is accentuated by the warm, hazy synth cloaking in the mix whilst the ridiculously beefy bass sits comfortably under groove. Talking about groove, the hi hats also sound quite frantic and are constantly migrating from left to right - thus creating one hell of a trippy effect.
