Today we celebrate Klaverson's latest body of work - a beautiful, and soul-touching 5-track EP titled Reflections. I've been a long-time fan of his work and seeing this going full circle made me smile today.
Singer, songwriter, producer & visual artist, Jack has won thousands of fans and garnered millions of streams in just 18 months after starting the project. Based on his personal experiences, Reflections sees Klaverson come into his own, with a five-track tour-de-force that encapsulates his evolution as an artist, exploration of self-discovery, and personal growth through music that combines to invite listeners into a world that allows them to escape from reality.
Listening to Reflections will breathe new love for music into anyone, who takes the time and makes up mind space for the message it carries.
I chose to highlight my personal favorite, "Losing Hope", which feels like a trip back home after a long journey abroad. That being said, don't miss out on the full Reflections experience as there's so much to unpack in just 5 compositions.
I had the pleasure of catching up with Jack ahead of the EP release and I'm happy I get to share with you bits of his world below.
I know you've created the EP as a result of the busy lives we're all living. How often do you take a breather and reflect on where are you now in life?
For me, this usually happens when I’m in my happy place - in my studio making music. It’s my chance to stop and realize how lucky I am to be doing something that I love.
It's often in these moments of reflection that I find gratitude and the inspiration to keep moving forward.
What was the most challenging thing about the creation of the EP?
I would probably say knowing when to stop. I’m a real perfectionist when it comes to the finishing touches of a track and it’s really hard to let go. I think it can be both a blessing and a curse, as I always make sure I’m as happy as I can be before a track gets released.
If you could choose the perfect setting for your listeners for the very first time they hear the EP, where would that be?
I think the perfect setting would have to be a late-night drive on a completely open road. I often like to picture visual landscapes that can accompany every song and that setting felt very appropriate for many of the tracks on the EP.
What's after the release?
I’ve already started work on my next EP, as well as a live show! Visuals are super important to me so that will be a key element to the show. I’m excited to have something to share soon.
