I woke up and started my Friday with this wholesome (no pun intended) collaboration between Kinnship and Pablo Nouvelle.
"The Wholesomeness of Waiting" is a sonic wave of kindness and warmth. It feels like floating on water and every little detail in this, from the vocal humming melodies to the bop-like snare that fills the space, exhales calmness. It feels like a story about the importance of patience.
The track is the 3rd chapter of their joint work that’s already gifted us two gorgeous slices of electronic, the previously released Kilo and Medicine.
Pablo Nouvelle shares, "The Wholesomeness of Waiting is a rave track in disguise. It starts in a weird dream-like world. Reversed vocals fly over soft 808s playing a halftime beat, while the piano chords sound like being taken from a vintage Asian movie. Kinnship’s angelic voice unfolds into a mantra, praising the art of waiting. A skill that most of us, including me, have lost completely. As the song progresses, the percussive elements spiral into a subtle shrugging party, until finally, the thick bass climaxes to euphoria without ever losing its delicate elegance."
