When it comes to tasteful hooks, it's almost as if Khazali's execution is effortless as he continuously delivers dazzling melodies that almost ANYONE can recall.
"NYC to CDG" is the long-awaited follow-up to his smash single "You'll Be the One" which came out late last year. This time, we're welcomed to a much more introspective side of Khazali by virtue of the reflective lyricism. One would think these vocals are centered around a loved one although when he says "you", he actually means "I/me". I can't neglect to mention the lavish glimmer of the synths when we reach the chorus as they brighten the stereo field along with the sparse guitar arrangements.
