DFFRNT

This next feature is a beautiful example of Berlin's flourishing neo-soul / r&b scene and how much the city has to offer you look past the club/techno electronic scene.

D.$ahin and Keymer's new single "DFFRNT" is a smooth homage to late 90s r&b music engraved with this Sunday feel-good emotion that will instantly elevate your soul.

D.$AHIN is a Berlin-based singer and multi-instrumentalist, who fuses r&b and indie-pop, whilst creating a unique musical experience with her soulful voice. Originally from Istanbul, she arrived in Germany as a refugee in the 1990s and is channeling her roots and upbringing (she studied Saz, a type of Turkish guitar) in her music.

Her talented counterpart in "DFFRNT" is German beatmaker and multi-instrumentalist Keymer whose beats I've been a fan of for a while. Inspired by his parent's collection of jazz and blues music, the now-professionally-trained pianist excels when it comes to making the perfect stage for D.$ahin's inviting voice.

The track comes with enticing visual aesthetics, which you can watch below. A perfect addition to the sound the two have created.

Funny enough, took me a second before I realized I actually met her at an event in Berlin where our friend Viktor played bass. Was an awesome evening full of great music and positive people!
